Work-in-Progress Wednesday 70

I finally managed to get to the shop and bought the requisite 3mm, 40cm circs that I needed to knit the sleeves for Wasabi, but they didn’t have the 2.75mm ones to knit the ribbed cuff.  I resisted letting her order some in for me, and I’m glad I did – in the end, I’ve ordered some 30cm ones instead. The sleeves only just fit the 40cm ones!

Anyway, enough of that – you’re here to see some pics, right?  I’ve done both the sleeves (I’m making the short-sleeved version), and now just need to wait until my 30cm circs arrive – I had an email this morning telling me that they’re on their way! I’m so tempted to sew the buttons on while I’m waiting though…

I’ve finished my ruffle scarf, and I’ll hopefully have pics to show you on Friday (no excuses – it’s actually sunny in Scotland at the moment!!).

I’ve been doing a bit of pattern-designing recently  – kind-of making-it-up-as-I-go-along. It’s a lacy cowl, moebius in structure. Here’s what I’ve got so far… I want to edge it with a feather-and-fan pattern, but I need another couple of blocks of pattern before I get that far.  I’m deliberating between another more simple band and then another lace band, or just continuing the lace. I’m leaning towards the former at the moment…

That’s it from me today, but do check out what other people have been up to over at WIP Wednesday with Tami’s Amis, and visit Ginny’s Yarn Along.

  1. Wow, I LOVE your sweater, it turned out gorgeous! I remember seeing it last week without the sleeves as I clicked through some of the YA links. The color stood out so much to me, it’s beautiful. Your lacy cowl pattern is beautiful too.
