I feel that this post should be titled something along the lins of “And now for something completely different…”! Firstly though, reports on current WIP’s:
Miss Kitty – no progress yet again – will this be the week?
Little Shells – blocking, and hopefully ready for FO Friday!
Secret Knitting Project 1 – blocked, ends sewn in, and ready to be photographed!
SKP 2 – and this is where the completely different comes in. A few weeks ago I made a departure from my usual knitting projects – I finally succumbed and knitted…
wait for it…
a sock!!
It was a birthday present for K and, as you can see, I only managed to make one before the actual birthday. K assures me this is okay – it’s the thought that counts, right?! Anyway, introducing my first ever sock. It’s an Alpha Sock, pattern by Tanis Lavallee. Does one sock count as a WIP, or an FO though? It was pretty hard keeping it a secret, I found it quite demoralising knitting at times, so I’m glad I’ll be able to share knitting its partner with you!
That’s it from me today, but do check out WIP Wednesday at Tami’s Amis and Ginny’s Yarn Along to find out what everyone else has been up to…
And a lovely sock it is! Unless K only has one foot, I’d still call that a WIP. For your first sock you’ve done really well! The second sock will be much easier – you’ll see!
Aren’t you a busy knitter! Your sock looks great. I just love love love blue!
That is a gorgeous first sock, hope you can get the second one knit up quickly! Definitely a WIP.
Love the colours in the sock!
Hey, one sock can be used to keep a nose warm, can be wrapped around the neck and held closed with a pin, can be used for a bracelet? LOL! I am too sure I would never get the 2nd one done. How do I know? Cause I have the same thing in a basket here at home. One sock done, the 2nd not. Love the calm colors and cables are the bomb!
