It’s been a month since I last did a Work-in-Progress post – time flies!
I got the Christmas bears knitted, and some shawlettes and other bits and pieces too. I was pleasantly surprised and encouraged to discover that some of them even sold at the Christmas Fayre 🙂 . The rest are intended as Christmas presents, which also makes me very happy!
I cast-on yesterday for Cat Bordhi’s Moebius Cowl. I’ve been asked to knit this for a young lady who has cerebral palsy. She is able to put something over her head, but doesn’t have the dexterity to tie a scarf nicely. Hopefully the pre-twisted element of this cowl will mean she can just pull it on and it will sit just right and look pretty, without her having to do anything more to it 🙂 .
It’s knitted in Sublime Lustrous Extrafine Merino DK in Peridot.
That’s all from me today, but I’m off to catch up with what everyone’s been up to over at WIP Wednesday at Tami’s Amis and at Ginny’s Yarn Along – it’s been too long!
What a lovely idea, this cowl! And the pattern and the color are great too. Hope to see a picture of the finished project soon!
From the thumbnail picture I thought you were knitting a leaf. I think your gift will work perfectly for the young lady.
I tried this cowl years ago and couldn’t get it to work out right. You just reminded me of it. I may have to give it another try. I am sure it is going to work out great for the recipient. Moebius are such fun!
Lovely color, I am sure she will adore it. Need to make another of those. The one I made I gave away, hmm, wonder what yarn I could use.
I love that cowl. Thanks for the link.
