Excited, proud Mummy, and WIP Wednesday

1) His face lights up, the cake is pushed away, and he eagerly opens his new sticker book.

2) Our new star chart system for the kids has really taken off – this afternoon Aidan vacuumed his room, and sorted the laundry; while Megan watered all the garden pots, and made parmesan scones to go on the mince cobbler for dinner. All done willingly, and cheerfully 🙂 .

3) I’ve finished knitting Summer Project #2 – the summery string bag – it’s awaiting being sewn together and finished, hopefully I’ll have an FO by Friday…

Summer Project #2 Summery String Bag

Not photographed this week is my lacy scarf – I’ve knitted a few more blocks, so it’s gradually getting longer.

And finally, I’ve cast on for Summer Project #3 which is going to be a Stripey Lacy Scarf. I really love the scalloped effect this pattern creates, and I’ve learned how to carry yarn up the edge – a new technique for me :-). Even better it that it’s knitting up super-quick…
