Finishing, giving, and friendly.

1) No-one had to rush away this morning, so we all relaxed, and were able to chat and finish a conversation for once! It was good 🙂 .

2) I popped up to town today to pick something up, but the parking meter is set so that you are forced to pay £1.80 for 1 hour of parking. Still I paid, ran round the corner to the shop, only to discover that it was closed!! So I walked back to the car, grumbling a bit to myself about the waste of money and the fact I’d had a wasted trip. Then I spotted a woman putting money in to that same meter, and I ran to stop her before she pressed the button – I felt so much better with the thought that someone else could benefit from the 55 minutes left on my ticket.  She seemed flustered, muttering something about not having her glasses and being able to read the meter. I told her not to worry, she could just have my ticket…  as I handed it to her, she thanked me profusely, thrust a £2 coin in my hand and rushed off!

3) All the children who visited our house this evening, were polite, friendly and told some great jokes!
