Finished Object Friday 29

Oh, the trials of getting photos of FO’s in Scotland in winter… So here’s my best effort that will have to do until there’s the right combination of sun, light, time and K being at home!

First up, I finished this lacy waistcoat ages ago, but I pulled it out the wardrobe for the first time today to wear… It’s based on Sirdar’s Lace Tie-Front Bolero but I designed this myself, and it’s knitted in Sirdar’s Luxury Soft Cotton DK, size 4mm needle. I wasn’t too happy with the front edge, so I worked an applied I-cord bind-off, and I’m really happy with the result 🙂 .

Second up, here is Sahara!!  All done, but will probably remain in the drawer from now until next summer – ah well.  So pleased to finally have this complete 🙂 .

I’m off to check out more of today’s Finished Objects, over at Tami’s Amis

About Carolyn

This blog has served different purposes over the years - it started out following a Three Beautiful Things (3BT) structure: and I used to record three things, often the ordinary moments in life, which made me smile that smile. Then, I joined a community of knitters sharing my progress on what I was knitting that week. Now, after a long hiatus, I'm back to share an unusual new knitting project...
