Work-in-Progress 66

Hmm, an interesting week knitting-wise.  I’m still struggling away with getting my head around designing a moebius cowl.  But I’ve been making progress with Wasabi, although the tiny stitches mean that progress is on the slow side.  M is delighted with it though, and says it’s okay if it takes a while!

I love the way that this pattern is constructed, with its provisional cast-on and short-row shoulder shaping, but I’m finding that some of the instructions are a little unclear, which resulted in me almost completing the yoke, and then having to rip the whole thing out to start again.  I’ve noted these on my Rav page if you’re interested in the technical stuff.

Otherwise, here are a couple of pics…

  1. What an awesome springy shade of green, looks very pretty. I’m confused though when you talk about arm and a mobius? Isn’t a mobius just a continuous scarf? You have an arm with it? Will it be more like a shrug then? Sorry you had to rip out, hope it all works out.

  2. Ah, sorry, Sandy – I was talking about two completely different projects. I’m designing a moebius cowl, which is indeed a continuous scarf (with a twist in it). I’m also knitting Wasabi, which is a cardigan with a lace yoke. I’ve just updated the blog to include the link to the Wasabi pattern, so you can see what it looks like!

  3. Off to check your notes since I plan to make this in the future. Your child is too patient, mine would not be okay with it taking a while. LOL.

  4. I have some of the recommended cascade yarn that is recommended for Wasabi and have been looking for the right pattern..You discovered it for me..thanks! I really think I prefer your green color tho!
