Snapshot of a weekend away.

It’s been a weekend filled with beautiful things…

1) A lovely old house, stunning scenery, lots of friends, fabulous three course dinners (and it’s our year off cooking!), good wine, and fun conversations.

2) Activities included cycling through the forest, a picnic on the beach, a longer cycle along country roads to a viewpoint across the Moray Firth, visiting an ancient Pictish standing stone, walking along the beach, exploring the woodland around the house, games of snooker, Freda, giant Jenga, and Sardines, relaxing in the house, and an impromptu ceilidh.

3) Happy children, banks of golden daffodils and wildflowers, a “haunted” basement (according to the kids!), plenty of comfy sofas, thousands of books, a grand piano, furniture which has seen generations of use, gorgeous views from the windows, and two giant teddy bears.
