Breakfast, present, and frogging.

1) As a treat, we decided to meet for breakfast, rather than coffee. Freshly scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast. Good friend, good food, good start to the day.

2) My Dad had requested a very specific present for his birthday. I went shopping today, and found precisely what I was looking for 🙂 . So nice to just walk in to the shop, find the ideal gift, and walk out again.

3) Last night, I frogged the cardi I’d started knitting for M. The edge just didn’t look right and I wasn’t at all happy with it. I spent some time on the internet figuring out how to get the edge right, practised it, and then pulled the whole thing off the needles, and rewound my yarn.

Today, I cast-on again and began to knit. This time the edge is looking lovely – I’m much happier now 🙂 .

Weekend fun.

Phew, well hopefully normal blogging resumes as of today 🙂 …

From the weekend then:

1) The kids have loved playing with their new cousins – they all get on so well, it was truly a delight to see.

2)  A big family party on Saturday evening: dinner out, followed by dancing, cake, and party games. Much fun was had by all.

3) Sunday was a quiet day, although M went to a friend’s birthday party at lunchtime. In the evening, we had dinner at my parent’s place, followed by another mini-celebration – an exchange of gifts which resulted in four very happy small girls.

Roses, peas, and agreement.

1) A riot of tiny pale pink roses frame either side of their driveway.

2) Two bowls, a large pile of peas, and one very happy small girl.  M loves peas fresh from the pod.

3) I go shopping, look twice, then go home.  Later, I take K there for a second opinion. With any hints, he immediately chooses the one I preferred too.  Job done 🙂 .

Tumbleweed…

Sorry about the lack of posting recently*, but here’s some 3BT from the last couple of days…

1) K has spent a chunk of time over the last couple of evenings doing some stuff to improve the internet connectivity of my laptop, and also freeing up a huge chunk of space on the hard drive. Consequently, I have a much happier computer, and a more reliable internet source 🙂 . Thanks K xxx.

2) Photos of pink blossom adorning trees are prolific in the blogosphere at the moment – love it.

3) A Mother’s Day Gift – these stitch markers are even more gorgeous in real life!

* see 1) for part of the problem…
